Whether you're young or old, chances are, you've seen an Alan Arkin film. Of course, younger viewers mights think of him as
that grumpy old guy (Little Miss Sunshine, Santa Clause 3, etc.), but the truth is, he has played a number of diverse characters.
If you're here, chances are, you saw something in a performance that had you yearning for more. For me, that role was of Mr. Singer in
The Heart is a Lonely Hunter. The role was heart breaking, and I just couldn't believe that this was the same guy that I knew from Get Smart.
My friends will tell you that I'm pretty good at online research, but generally, actors of Alan Arkin's caliber are pretty easy to find online. You
can imagine my surprise when I couldn't find sites beyond Wikipedia and IMDB. Now, for someone with my skills, that just makes the search good sport.
Knowing that not everyone is willing to go to those same lengths, I've created this site to help other budding fans. Within these pages, you'll find news
articles from as far back as the 60's, read about multiple music projects that Alan Arkin has been involved in, and a whole lot more. Additionally, as I began
to update the film section, I will post advice on how to find some of his more obscure (or at least difficult to find) films.
